The Terminal List Season 2: Chris Pratt’s Hair Is the Real Story

Black baseball cap and streaming remote in front of a blurred military thriller scene, with the headline “The Terminal List Season 2: Chris Pratt’s Hair Is the Real Story.”

Amazon Prime’s Terminal List Season Two premiered on October 21st.

The show follows Commander James Reece and his vow for revenge against the people who murdered his family and his Navy Battalion.

The show starts off with several punches and continues until the end of season one.

The fast-paced nature of The Terminal List keeps you on the edge of your seat. I enjoyed how the twist is revealed right away, and the show is more or less about how the characters deal with it and how they uncover who else is involved in the conspiracies.

Similar to shows like Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime, it involves fighting, war, government conspiracies, and a one-man-against-the-world narrative.

The difference I found in The Terminal List, though, was Chris Pratt’s hair.

Throughout season 1, it was clear the clean-shaven vs. rough look was being used to showcase the character’s intense back-and-forth trauma. During the season, a commanding officer even told him to shave to look cleaner-cut.

Here, at his family’s funeral (after his battalion’s), we see him clean-shaven and with short hair. Somber.

Throughout the middle of the season, he seems to be slowly getting more and more unhinged, and his hair is following suit.

The ending sees him sort of half-and-half. Clean-cut but still having facial hair. Maybe this signifies inner turmoil or situations to come.

Season 2, however, saw the complete downfall of Pratt’s hair. In the beginning, at least.

Pratt’s Character, James Reece, starts the season completely off the grid, as the world’s most wanted man. So, naturally, he hasn’t shaved or cut his hair in a few months to a year. The look screams, “I’m off the grid, no one can find me!”

The hair here and in the picture above really helps the angsty look and attitude Reece has.

Following in the footsteps of Season 1, Reece finds himself back on a mission, and his hair is clean-cut. This mission seems to involve animals in the desert.

The hair stays the same, though, until the end.

The only real change is just natural facial hair here and there.

Compared to season one’s despair and constant ups and downs, the show found its footing more quickly and kept Reece in law enforcement. Less need for the hair to tell the story because overall, it was a better story.

Advertise on Streaming Where Terminal List Fans Are Watching

Millions of people are pressing play on The Terminal List this season. Amazon says more than 130 million people in the U.S. watch Prime Video with ads every month. Nielsen puts streaming at about half of all the time Americans spend watching TV.

If your ads live only in search and social, many of those households may never see you. That isn’t because they aren’t interested. It’s because you aren’t where they’re sitting. If Prime Video isn’t in your plan, a lot of people who would love what you sell are watching without you.

You don’t need to buy the show to fix that. On streaming you reach people, not shows, so you can find the ones who are your customer and skip the rest. Tell us who you’re trying to reach.
